As I sit at my trusty Toshiba laptop, with the stubborn letter "q", I am gazing out the window. It is just prior to an engagement, that I cannot miss. It is the day after another storm: Yesterday, our trusted "Weather network" advised of much snow to fall , south of the city, close to the US border, and to the "east". Well , several feet later, i t seems, they were somewhat erroneous in their latitude and longtitudal prognostications. Hmmph! There are signs of hope though: Looking out the window, I see icy crystals, ever adherent to the window pane. However, I am beginning to see tendrils of moisture, just beginning to course down the pane, as if these tenacious crystals are finally beginning to weaken, ever so slightly. The sun is actually begetting a faint warmth? No, can it be? I was reminiscing with an old friend yesterday, about Steelhead fishing in the month of March....just south of here in upstate NY. We both remarked how odd it would be to be standing streamside in this type of weather, with a flyrod in hand! But today there is assurance after all, that maybe old man winter is looking for the exit, maybe he'll be leaving the building sometime soon....Have a pleasant , and cozy day, wherever you are....I'm out.
