Yawn, Tuesday, what an ordinary day, isn't it? It's my first day back at work, after almost 4 days off, and I'm like a tourist trying to figure out Cairo, or Mexico city.... I've got to make the rounds, and see what is missing, what has been misplaced, squashed, trodden upon or tossed out. After all this is done, I have to make a list. One of the things I do have going for me, are the girls that work the pasticceria......Sometimes it's Rachel and Tanya and Val....Or Erica and Kayla and Pam, it doesn't matter.....They're all in my corner, and they are a HUGE help. After getting the low down, I set about cutting up my vanilla/ganache cake , that didn't sell, HUH? Yup, it happens, I guess it was too intimidating, all that buttercream and chocolate....Here is how your piece would've looked!
Not to be deterred, I set about making some more raspberry cream roll cakes............They, went like Bluray players on black Friday...Here are my 2 sheet cakes, out of the oven, awaiting a piece of parchment...
The cakes have now been flipped over, and I am about to roll them up, for safekeeping, till the decorating elves get in at 2300...
It seems that I forgot to show you dinner.....A couple of pork chops, bone in , nice grill marks, tomato/pepper salad, ranch dressing, OK, I was slumming it...
Here is a finished roll cake:
Now ya know ya wanna see these, right?
Lastly, I created another cookie variation, using a "Mostacciole" Yuletide cookie base. These were christened: Double chocolate walnut ringers....
This is how my Tuesday....Yawn, unfolded in the land of Black Jack Shellack....Bonsoir, et bonne journee!
